Katrien L.B. Deroey teaches academic writing and English language proficiency at the Department of Linguistics, Ghent University. She has extensive experience in developing course materials and has previously taught academic writing andspeaking at the Language Centre of Ghent University, in the UK and in Vietnam. She also performs research on English for Academic Purposes and is a published author in this field.
